Klaudia Sygula

Klaudia Sygula is a Polish UFC Women’s Bantamweight fighter and one of the most promising prospects in the European women’s MMA scene. Born and raised in Lodz, Poland, she has built her career through discipline, technical development and a willingness to compete at every level of the sport, from the Polish regional scene to the world’s biggest MMA organisation.

Early Life and the Road to MMA

Klaudia Sygula was born on December 30, 1998, in Poddebice, a small town in central Poland, before relocating to Lodz, the country’s third largest city and her base throughout her fighting career. She began training Brazilian jiu-jitsu at just 14 years old, initially attending out of curiosity and almost walking away after her first session. She has since reflected on that decision with characteristic honesty: “At the beginning, I didn’t like it, but I went back. To this day, I don’t know why, and now I love it. I think it was my destiny.”

That early commitment to grappling formed the foundation of everything that followed. Sygula developed a well-rounded mixed martial arts game over the years, earning a BJJ purple belt and building one of the most decorated amateur careers in Polish women’s MMA, including multiple national medals and a run at the 2019 Amateur MMA World Championships in Bahrain. Away from the cage, she graduated with a degree in economics, demonstrating the same discipline outside training that she applies inside it.

The Regional Rise

Sygula turned professional in 2021 and built her record primarily on the Polish and European regional scene, competing under banners including Armia Fight Night, FEN and MMA GP. Her run through the regional circuit was not without early adversity — her second professional bout ended in a submission loss — but she responded by reeling off a string of victories that mixed submissions, knockouts and decisions against increasingly competitive opposition.

By the time she had beaten fighters like Daria Regil, Brena Cardozo and Ana Lobzhanidze, she had demonstrated the kind of well-rounded, multi-promotion record that earns serious consideration at the next level. She trains at FitFabric Shark Top Team in Lodz, one of Poland’s most respected women’s MMA programs, where she has trained alongside former UFC strawweight Karolina Kowalkiewicz, and has supplemented her development with camp work in the United States.

UFC Career: Adversity and Growth

Sygula made her UFC debut in November 2024 against the unbeaten prospect Melissa Mullins, suffering a second round TKO stoppage in what proved to be a baptism by fire. Rather than losing momentum, she used the result as motivation.

She returned in June 2025 and delivered a composed, patient performance against Irina Alekseeva at UFC Fight Night in Baku, Azerbaijan, controlling the fight at distance over three rounds and earning a unanimous decision to put herself in the UFC win column for the first time. All three judges scored it 30-27 in her favour.

The momentum continued in February 2026 when she defeated Brazilian veteran Priscila Cachoeira via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas, landing 159 of 349 total strikes attempted and demonstrating the high volume, disciplined approach that has become her calling card. The win moved her professional record to 8-2 and gave her back-to-back UFC victories for the first time in her career.

In September 2026, Sygula stepped into a hostile environment at UFC Paris, facing France’s Nora Cornolle in front of a passionate home crowd at Accor Arena. Cornolle’s physical clinch work and repeated takedowns proved difficult to overcome, and Sygula dropped a unanimous decision on the judges’ scorecards. Despite the result, Sygula showed the resilience and technical growth that has defined her UFC tenure, threatening with submissions and showing improved grappling awareness throughout the fight.

A Fighter Still Rising

At 27 years old, Klaudia Sygula is in the early stages of her UFC career with significant room to grow. Her high-volume striking, improving grappling and the mental toughness she has demonstrated across multiple comebacks from adversity suggest a fighter who is being shaped by the UFC experience rather than broken by it. With a professional record of 8 wins and 3 losses and a BJJ purple belt to underpin her submission game, she remains one of the most intriguing developing talents in the women’s bantamweight division.
