Bia Mesquita is officially a UFC fighter.
The 10 time IBJJF world champion and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu legend has made the leap to MMA’s biggest stage after capturing the LFA strawweight title in commanding fashion. Her signing with the UFC marks a major shift in the division, and a clear warning shot to the 115-pound elite.
Mesquita’s arrival in the UFC wasn’t sudden. It was built, tested, and earned. Since transitioning from jiu-jitsu to MMA, she’s been nothing short of surgical.
