Mike Perry Headlines BKFC KnuckleMania 4!
Mike Perry makes his anticipated return to bare-knuckle boxing on April 27th, stepping into the ring against fellow UFC veteran Thiago Alves in the headline bout for BKFC KnuckleMania 4 at the esteemed Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
In a thrilling co-main event, Ben Rothwell, also a First Round Management client, squares off against Todd Duffee in a heavyweight showdown. BKFC president David Feldman unveiled both matchups during his appearance on Wednesday’s episode of Ariel Helwani’s The MMA Hour.
This event marks a historic occasion as it debuts as the very first BKFC card in California, following the recent approval of bare-knuckle fighting sanctioning by the state.
Perry has quickly risen to prominence since joining BKFC, amassing an impressive 4-0 record that includes victories over notable opponents such as Eddie Alvarez, Luke Rockhold, and Michael Page. Last August, Perry secured a lucrative multi-fight deal with BKFC before clinching a stoppage win over Alvarez in December, earning him the inaugural title of “King of Violence.”
Now, Perry is set to face Alves, who makes his long-awaited return to BKFC since securing the inaugural middleweight BKFC title with a knockout triumph over Uly Diaz in 2021. Alves boasts a 2-0 record in bare-knuckle competition overall, although he found himself at odds with BKFC over contract negotiations following his last appearance, resulting in him being stripped of the title. Nevertheless, Alves is back for a high-stakes showdown against Perry in April.
In the co-main event, Rothwell and Duffee are slated to meet for the second time after their initial bout was postponed. Originally scheduled for December, Rothwell fell ill during the event week, causing the delay.
